chameleon

the lure of the lady
is her smile
and she uses it
as if fishing
a league of us
caught on a siren song
and pulled in with the tide
her chameleon coat
gleams like diamonds
or waves
or stars in the night sky
her story, the blackness
between
vast velvet void
most are too distracted
to see
shallow as the ebbing tide
yet enticing
enough to dive
headlong
into disaster

caught on a moonbeam

with her smile
she moves me
floating on air
a particle in light
my heart swirling inside
yea, she moves me
and in her eye
it seems to magnify
moonbeams
signaling me in
like runway lights
to her other dimension
and did i mention
she moves me
and i am caught
riding into her heart
see the beauty
of each other
from the inside
caught on a moonbeam
the start, the spark
the catching of hearts
riding the tide
that the moment provides
and we are
caught on a moonbeam

fly

Monday, February 7th, 2011

fly in the ointment
fly around the world
north upon the coat tail
of a troubadour
searching for
the setting sun
fly in the window
on a moonlit night
and watch me dream
about setting flight
fly among the willow trees
and tease me
like a gentle breeze
flit around my beating heart
and sail me toward the sky
take my hand and teach me
teach me how to fly
